Mark teaches that obedience to God brings blessings under both the old and new covenants, but emphasizes that New Covenant believers receive even greater blessings through new life in Christ, God’s provision, and the power of the Holy Spirit. He encourages Christians to trust God rather than worry, walk in obedience by the Spirit, seek the baptism and gifts of the Holy Spirit, and expect God to work powerfully through His people.
