In this 2nd video in the study of Romans, Mark gives an overview of the book, emphasizing that God’s righteousness is a gift received by faith—like Abraham—rather than something earned through religion or self-effort. He previews key themes: peace with God and standing in grace (Romans 5), freedom from sin (6), the flesh vs. the new man (7), and life in the Spirit with no condemnation (8). He also highlights Luther’s “justified by faith” breakthrough and urges believers to live as devoted bondservants of Christ.
