Where’s His Glory in Our Gatherings?

Where’s His Glory in Our Gatherings?

It was not until Moses “did all that God commanded him to do,” carefully following all the instructions God gave him about constructing the Tabernacle in the Wilderness, and all that went along with it that God’s glory came down. (Exodus 40)

It was not until Solomon did all that God commanded him to do about constructing the Temple in Jerusalem with its furnishings that God’s glory came down. (II Chronicles 5)

Why do we assume that God’s glory is going to be manifest in our midst when we “do church” the way that seems right to us, rather than the way He instructed for us to do in the New Testament? (I Corinthians 12 and 14; Ephesians 4:7-16)
