Give Me a Palace

We all want a “palace.”  One man’s palace may not be a palace to another, but everyone wants a place to call home that suits his fancy.

God sent His chosen one, Joseph, to a pit before He sent him to a palace.  There was a reason for that.  Yes, his experience was a foreshadowing of the life of Jesus Christ who would go to the grave before being resurrected, but there’s more to it than that.

Hebrews 5:8

“… though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.”

It is critically important to the long-term spiritual health of the Christian to realize that if he/she does not arrive to the palace by way of the pit, their palace may end up becoming a death trap.

“Let patience have it’s perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”

James 1:4
